Job Summary

This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both warehouse operations and administration. Based in our Manchester branch, you’ll support the team with office and computer tasks while assisting in the warehouse during busy periods. It’s a great way to learn how a logistics operation runs day to day, develop practical skills, and build a strong foundation for a successful career in the industry

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support order processing and generate key reports for the warehouse and customers.
  • Assist with client communications and help resolve operational issues.
  • Help manage warehouse visitors in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Support the team with courier and delivery scheduling to meet customer requirements
    efficiently.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Branch Manager and warehouse team.
  • Learn to use our in-house software to improve daily routines and processes.
  • Assist within the warehouse, including Pick & Pack, and loading/unloading containers
    during busy periods.
  • Help identify service issues and contribute ideas for process improvements.

  • Good communication skills, able to share ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills.
  • Works well in a team and can support colleagues where needed.
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems and willing to learn new software.
  • Shows initiative and is keen to suggest improvements.
  • No prior extensive experience required – enthusiasm and commitment are key.
