Job Summary
Customer service and end to end operations, including customs with both sea and air import shipments. Overseeing and responding to the daily operational needs of the customers, colleagues and suppliers to ensure the best possible service is provided.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use Cargo Wise to complete air and sea import documentation and operational processes.
- Quoting customers within KPI timeframes.
- Organize operational workflow to meet customer timeframes.
- Communicate effectively with the customer to obtain relevant information and ensure their needs are met.
- Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate where support is needed.
- To respond to customers in a timely manner.
- Liaise with approved third-parties to arrange carriage of goods.
- Raise payable invoices inside KPI timeframes to customers and overseas agents in accordance with agreed rates and tariffs, whilst monitoring Profit & Loss levels on own shipments.
- Complete all administrative functions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work as part of a team to support customers and XPand to achieve its growth objectives.
Person Specification:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Computer literate, Microsoft office applications.
- Able to work as part of a team and be flexible to fulfil requirements.
- Able to converse with clients, suppliers, agents and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Willingness to learn and be open minded.
- Committed and able to deal with tight deadlines and challenging scenarios.
- Proactive in actions and communications.
- Able to organise their workload and workspace.
- Commercial awareness.
- Attention to detail.
- Applicant would ideally have 2+ years industry experience with previous involvement in both sea and air imports from quote to delivered.
- CW experience is an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided.
