XPand Logistics Successfully Completes Stage 1 of ISO 9001 Certification Audit

XPand Logistics is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed Stage 1 of its ISO 9001 certification audit with BSI, achieving a very positive outcome with no nonconformities raised.

The audit marks an important milestone in XPand’s journey towards full ISO 9001 certification, the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. The process reflects ongoing work across the business to strengthen operational processes, manage risk effectively, and maintain a consistent focus on quality and continual improvement.

The Stage 1 audit assessed XPand’s Quality Management System against ISO 9001 requirements, evaluating documented processes, risk management and organisational readiness ahead of the more comprehensive Stage 2 assessment. The positive outcome reflects the depth of preparation undertaken across the business in recent months, and follows the confirmation of BSI’s engagement to deliver the certification programme, first announced in July.

The development and implementation of XPand’s Quality Management System, together with the coordination of the Stage 1 assessment, was led by Cheryl Hughes-Bye, SHEQ Manager at XPand Logistics, with significant support from Chris Pye, Head of IT, and Nicola Cottrill, HR Manager.

“Successfully completing Stage 1 of our ISO 9001 certification audit is an important milestone for XPand Logistics. It reflects the considerable work taking place across the business to strengthen our processes, manage risk effectively and deliver a consistently high-quality service to our customers. I would particularly like to recognise Cheryl Hughes-Bye for leading the development and implementation of our Quality Management System, together with everyone who has supported the programme. We now look forward to building on this progress as we prepare for Stage 2.”

Nigel Clark – Operations Director

XPand Logistics will now continue preparing for its Stage 2 audit, scheduled for November 2026. Certification will be subject to the successful completion of that assessment.
