This year marks a major milestone for XPand Logistics as our family-run business celebrates 25 years in operation. From humble beginnings in 2000, when XPand Logistics was first incorporated at our Heathrow site, the company has grown steadily, driven by strong values, long-standing relationships, and a commitment to bespoke, customer-focused logistics solutions.
What started as a small, agile team has evolved into a nationwide logistics network with multiple facilities across the UK. Yet at its heart, XPand Logistics remains proudly independent and family-run. Our Founder Fred Osborn is still involved as a Non-Executive Director today, with the day-to-day operations overseen by his son, our Managing Director David Osborn. This is one of many examples of how XPand Logistics blends experience with innovation, always keeping people at the centre of everything we do.

2000 – XPand Incorporated at LHR
2001 – Joined IATA, BIFA & CASS
2008 – Joined the WCA Network
2012 – XPand Manchester Office opens
2014 – XPand Basildon, Carnival Close opens
April 2016 – Joined UKWA
May 2016 – Joined the United Shipping Inc Network
November 2016 – XPand achieves AEO status
May 2018 – XPand Basildon, Brentwood opens providing an additional 35,000 sq. ft. of warehousing
December 2018 – XPand Furniture & Fine Arts division opens a dedicated 12,000 sq. ft. facility at Heathrow
October 2019 – XPand Basildon, Festival Way, opens providing an additional 60,000 sq. ft. Grade A facility focused on 3PL
September 2021 – XPand Basildon, Carnival Close opens a Clean Room facility for specialist electronic components work
February 2022 – Joined RHA
November 2022 – XPand achieves Planet Mark Certification
December 2022 – XPand Basildon, Brentwood opens a second unit providing an additional 32,000 sq. ft. of warehousing
December 2023 – XPand Basildon, Brentwood, opens a third unit providing a further 25,000 sq. ft. of warehousing
January 2024 – XPand Manchester takes on a brand new 30,000 sq. ft. Grade A facility
December 2024 – XPand Basildon, Brentwood, acquires an additional 28,000 sq. ft. of warehousing
